| #31-8-2010 | Mirage & Colosseum review – Haute Fidélité (updated) |
|
|

Gryphon top-of-the-line electronic components receive highest possible score and best accolade “Reference Haute Fidélité”.
The magazine concludes (in English translation):
“As usual, the Danish designer has not skimped on the concept and build quality of the two electronic jewels dubbed the Mirage preamplifier and Colosseum power amplifier. Frankly, we had been quite taken with the sonic performance of their integrated Diablo. It appears that the envelope has been pushed much further back with the Mirage/Colosseum pairing, which deserves to be regarded as a sonic reference that will go down in the history of high fidelity.
The exclusive build and pedigree of each component are combined with perfectly optimised technical solutions mastered by the makers. The breathtaking performance manifests itself to the listener as a neutral rendering, subtle and captivating, yet capable of expanding from a whisper to a blast of notes at the slightest prompting. The radical cosmetic aesthetics add a touch of elite distinction essential in products of total sonic transparency. Stunning."

| #30-8-2010 | First Scorpio review (updated) |
|
|
Gryphon's newest addition, the CD-player Scorpio receives acclaim by French "Stéréo, Prestige & Image”.
The magazine concludes (in English translation):
“Summary of a Sonic Aesthetic - With the high end Scorpio CD player/converter, Gryphon has truly remained faithful to its signature sound of great musical distinction. It achieves a veritable musical alchemy, fast transient response, tonal accuracy which does not vary as a function of volume, fluid handling of melody, with absolutely remarkable positioning in the stereo image. Such perfect harmony among often contradictory parameters is extremely rare to find, even in the “high end” to which Gryphon has belonged for many years. One can only congratulate the designers for the success of their achievement with Scorpio, a digital source that is truly musical in every sense of the word."

The Munich high end show 2010 was the backdrop for Gryphons 25th. anniversary celebration. To mark the special event, the mighty Poseidon system was on active display and despite the usual negative show conditions - poor power and acoustics that changes with the ever changing amount of enthusiastic listeners - it was a great setup by Slovenian über audiophile Robert Tisnikar.
A number of clinics about music and listening theory was done by Al Jones, writer/editor of the new Gryphon 25 years anniversary book.
We thank all the visitors that came to celebrate the day and new Gryphon distributors were appointed as a result of the show.

| #12-4-2010 | New book: "Gryphon Unplugged: 25 Years of Gryphon Audio Designs" |
|
|
Gryphon celebrates 25 years anniversary at High End 2010, May 6 - 9 in Munich releasing a 144-page hardcover book.
The book is edited by Albert L. Jones with a foreword by renowned audio writer Ken Kessler.
Not many of the brands that defined the cutting edge in stereo a quarter of a century ago are still standing tall with their reputations fully intact and the original guiding force still at the helm. The rarity of such an event is all the more cause to celebrate the silver anniversary of Danish Gryphon Audio Designs.
Having almost single-handedly taken High End styling out of the garage workshop and into the art gallery with his radical designs at no compromise in performance, Gryphon founder Flemming E. Rasmussen has a lot to celebrate.
In Munich Flemming and his team are looking forward to meeting customers and partners without whom Gryphon would not have made it this far.
Gryphon owners attending High End 2010 will receive a free copy of the book as a signed personal gift upon presentation of proof of ownership (serial number, invoice or photo of owner with product).

| #1-3-2010 | Diablo scores five out of five on all parameters |
|
|
The Gryphon Diablo receives best possible award “REFERENCE” in France and highest achievable score.
Excerpts in English from Haute Fidélité magazine:
“The Danish Gryphon products have been absent in France for several years. We are very pleased that they now reappear. Diablo is the manufacturer's most powerful integrated amplifier. It offers wonderful music reproduction, based on a flawless topology and implementation of full-fledged technical solutions.”

“Hard like a rock, powerful like a Viking, the Gryphon Diablo electronics particularly seduced us on a range of sound qualities rarely found together in an integrated at this price. As quick as lightning and capable of supplying 800 watts continuously per channel, difficult speakers will not make it afraid. Its neutrality and its correct reproduction makes one almost forget that it is not running in Class A. The construction is in every way admirable and the technical solutions are at the same level as the resulting sound.”, writes William Savignac – Haute Fidélité.
